Effect of dietary supplementation with mulberry and moringa leaves on the chicken reproductive performance

The effects of dietary supplementation with moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam.) and mulberry (Morus nigra L.) leaf powder on the clutch trait, reproductive organs, follicles, steroid hormones, gene expressions laying chickens were investigated during a 42-day experiment. Two hundred ten Chinese local strain hens aged 37 weeks randomly allocated to three groups, each group included five replicates, 14 per replicate. in control fed basal diet, whereas those test groups diet supplemented 2.5% (MOLP2.5+MLP2.5), 5% MOLP MLP (MOLP5+MLP2.5). traits (clutches, length, delay days) recorded trial. At end experiment, effect organs tissues was estimated, ESR1, ESR2, CYP19A1 STAR analysed. Compared group, performed worse treatment however, rate, MOLP2.5+MLP2.5 showed no significant difference. Though oestrogen levels did not significantly increase, they elevated group. Furthermore, it identified that expression ESR1 mRNA upregulated compared In conclusion, low addition level can be used improve hormones synthesis-related which might performance over long term.
